Reading the World

So in my Comparative World Literature class, one of our first assignments was to interview someone in class, preferably someone we didn’t know, and get to know them a little bit. Their full name, hometown, major, uniqueness, favorite foods, etc. Anyways, Joel and I were partners. He wrote this poem about me while under the influence of Tia Juana.

Vanessa Lochnessa, Monster of See!
Wittier than California, wise is she.

In pursuit of bringing criminals to justice.
But Subway for now…..uhhh…more lettuce.
That is of course until Federal agencies come for she.

Sea a tie bee tween thai food and Sea.
Outside dangling from the gallows accompanied by myself.

Amy Blume,
Anne Carson,
Ayn Rand,
An infatuation with authors named with an A

And yet there is another quite strange,
And yet there is another quite the same,
A Twin, in fact! A twin….ooh la la.
